Job Description
  • Develops test plans and cases; coordinates and executes tests; analyzes results, provides complete report.
  • Creates appropriate test data, and builds and maintains regression test suites.
  • Conducts testing of systems solutions within the test environment prior to the move into production.
  • Documents discrepancies found, and provides status reports to management.
  • Ensure that all programs are reviewed, tested and satisfy user requirements, working toward error-free and technically excellent software
  • Ensure that the application systems follow and comply to agreed standards, processes, procedures and versions
  • Ensures that all user/system documentation is up-to-date and are released on schedule
  • Participates in the systems design discussions and review sessions
  • Liases with other departments to coordinate test and implementation activities.
  • Works with his/her manager to determine specific project deliverables, and specifies quality criteria for deliverables assessment.
Job Qualifications

The candidate must have

  • 3+ years of IT/QA experience
  • Preferably worked in a Software Services or in a Software Product company
  • Understanding of the following
  •      Merchandising Systems
  •      POS Systems
  •      Retail store operations
  • Experience or Familiarity with
  • Testing Tools
  • SDLC
  • Basic knowledge in the following is an advantage
  • Oracle PL/SQL or Forms/Reports
  • Shell Scripting

 

The candidate should also possess the following traits

  • Enjoy working with others in a team atmosphere
  • Strong problem solving skills and organizational skills, strong ability to prioritize workflow
  • Have a customer-service orientation
  • Flexibility in work hours and willingness to travel
  • Strong analytical interpersonal and time management skills
